June 2023 Design and Construction Update
District Administration is working closely with our design team (DLR Group) and contractors (Stahl Construction). Below you’ll find an updated summary of actions that have been taking place for Valerius Elementary.
PROJECT UPDATES
Valerius Elementary
- Site concrete is finishing up
- Rough Grading is complete
- Topsoil placement is finishing up
- Irrigation system has started
- Planting and landscaping has started
- Playground equipment installation, southwest is complete, east has started
- Playground surface to follow east equipment installation, both playgrounds
- Area A
- Ceiling baffles are complete
- A1 Flooring will follow D1 flooring
- Final painting is complete with exception of main corridors
- Glass partitions (mall sliders) at classrooms have started and continuing
- Stair Tower
- Drywall and drywall finish activities are complete
- Painting is starting
- Area B
- Learning stairs handrails is complete and painted
- Baffles have started
- Flooring on west learning stairs is complete, east side has started
- 1st Floor drywall and drywall finish activities are complete
- Painting has started
- Commons Clouds is complete
- Elevator is complete
- Commons Terrazzo is complete
- Epoxy flooring to begin in early July
- Area C
- Kitchen Equipment is complete
- Kitchen equipment plumbing and electrical connections are complete
- Preliminary health department inspection held June 5th
- Kitchen equipment start up scheduled for July 10th
- Boiler room equipment is running
- Gym flooring is complete, sealed and painted
- Restroom ceramic tile is complete
- Restroom fixtures and toilet partitions have started
- Area D
- Painting is complete
- D2 flooring is complete
- D1 flooring has started and continuing
- Ceramic tile is complete
- Baffle are complete
- Stair Tower is complete
- Furniture delivery is finished, set up is to start
- Scheduled to open Fall 2023-24
