July 2023 Design and Construction Update
District Administration is working closely with our design team (DLR Group) and contractors (Stahl Construction). Below you’ll find an updated summary of actions that have been taking place for Valerius Elementary.
PROJECT UPDATES
Valerius Elementary
- Site concrete is complete
- Topsoil placement is complete
- Irrigation system is complete
- Planting and landscaping is complete
- Sod to start week of July 31st
- Playground equipment installation is complete
- Playground surface has started at the east playground
- Area A
- A1 Flooring is complete
- Final painting is complete
- Glass partitions (mall sliders) at classrooms are complete
- Stair Tower is complete
- Area B
- Learning stairs flooring has been installed, sanding is finishing up, finishing is starting
- Baffles are complete
- Painting is complete
- Commons Clouds is complete
- Elevator is complete and inspected
- Epoxy flooring B2 to begin in early August
- Area C
- Epoxy flooring C1 is complete
- Kitchen equipment plumbing and electrical connections are complete
- The final health department inspection held August 7th
- Kitchen equipment start up scheduled for August 17th
- Restroom fixtures and toilet partitions have started
- Area D
- D1 flooring is complete
- Glass partitions (mall sliders) at classrooms are complete
- Furniture delivery is finished, setup is continuing
- All areas of the school are in process of Architectural punch list
- First day of school is August 23, 2023!
