Thank You for Attending the Jensen Jubilee

Thank you to our students, parents, staff, school board, alumni and community for attending the ‘Jensen Jubilee’ event at Olmsted Elementary on November 7, 2024. The night was full of smiles, hugs, tears, laughter, memories, community, and connection. In short, it was pure joy! Thank you to our Urbandale
community for creating such a beautiful evening. We are #grateful4U!

Jensen Elementary Bricks: Available November 7 – 15

As demolition of the Jensen Elementary building is complete, there are bricks available for community members wishing to own a brick as a keepsake. Please review the following instructions. 

Jensen Bricks at Olmsted Elementary School

• Bricks will be available during the Jensen Jubilee at Olmsted Elementary from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on November 7, 2024. 
• We have a limited supply of bricks. Guests are welcome to take 1 brick per household; bricks are free. 

Jensen Bricks at Urbandale High School

• Following the Jubilee, if we still have bricks available, bricks will be moved to Urbandale High School and will be available from November 9 – November 15, 2024. 
• Turn into the UHS parking lot near the football stadium (east side of the building) and go toward the loading dock area. Bricks will be stacked on pallets next to the building.
• We have a limited supply of bricks. You are welcome to take one brick per household; bricks are free. 
• We encourage you to pick up your brick(s) between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to help reduce traffic congestion at the high school.
• Please be extra cautious driving into this area as there may be students and staff in the vicinity.
• Note: The Jensen Elementary site is an active demolition and clean-up zone; only authorized personnel are allowed to enter the site.

Jensen Elementary Jubilee: Dedication Ceremony at Olmsted November 7, 2024

Please join us in honoring the proud history of Jensen Elementary during our “Jensen Jubilee” at Olmsted Elementary from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy refreshments, view photos and keepsakes, and share memories from Jensen Elementary. A dedication ceremony in honor of Isabelle Jensen will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Commons (lunch room).
